Bible - The Word of Promise is an audio Bible app that presents the New King James Version (NKJV) in an audio theater format. The app features a full version of the Gospel of John, study notes, and audio featuring Lou Gossett, Jr. as John, available for free. The audio project took over four years to produce and features an all-star cast, including Jim Caviezel as Jesus, Michael York as narrator, Richard Dreyfuss as Moses, and many more.
The app also includes the complete text of the NKJV Bible synchronized with audio to the verse, search and go directly to any verse to hear and see the Bible instantly, bookmark, highlight, or write your own notes. The app also features built-in playlists to access pre-programmed plans that take you through the New Testament in 40 days or the entire Bible in chronological (timeline) order. You can create your own playlist of verses and share with small groups from church, friends, and family. The app also includes a sleep timer, and Christ's words are highlighted in red. The app has won three Audie Awards from The Audio Publishers Association's (APA) Audies competition for "Audio Drama," "Inspirational/Faith-Based Non-Fiction," and "Package Design" categories.
